Introduction of Hindustani Classical Music: Hindustani is the north Indian style of Indian Classical Music. The major style of Hindustani music are Khayal, Tarana and Dhrupad. Other style include Dhamar, Trivat, Chaitti, Thumri, Kajari, Dadra, Tappa, Tap-Khayal, Ashtapadis, Ghazal and Bhajan. Out of these, some style falls within the circumference of semi classical, light music, light classical or folk. A typical Hindustani Classical Music program starts with some khayals followed by thumri, dadra and bhajan.
